Fortnite Reveals Chapter 7 Season 4 Theme, Teasing ‘Gaming Legends’ Content

With the current season of Fortnite wrapping up soon, players are buzzing with anticipation for hints about the next season’s theme. The excitement is palpable as fans look forward to Chapter 7 Season 4, which leaks indicate will revolve around Gaming Legends.

When the v41.30 update launched, data miners sifted through the game files and discovered encrypted posters showcasing iconic video game franchises like Mega Man, Pac-Man, Tetris, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Shortly after, players caught a glimpse of Pac-Man’s intro track playing at Wonkeeland. Although it has since been disabled, it served as a fun teaser that stoked the fires of speculation about the upcoming season.

On Tuesday, a newsfeed update referred to the current season as “Override.” The Spanish version included the term “Glitch,” while the French translation labeled it “System Hacked.” This discrepancy led fans to speculate that this would be the title for Chapter 7 Season 4.

It turns out the players were spot on. The official Fortnite account shared a teaser for Chapter 7 Season 4 on Wednesday, confirming that the new season will indeed be called “Override,” accompanied by the slogan “Break the rules. Change the game.” The announcement featured the same glitched effect seen in the Gem Sprite news feed, hinting at a connection to the upcoming end-of-season event, Unstable. This event is expected to wrap up the current season’s storyline and set the stage for what’s next. Additionally, the leaked character posters are likely to play a role in this event, as they were found alongside the Unstable story elements.

In addition to new characters, Fortnite fans are eager to see the return of some beloved Gaming Legends, particularly Kratos from God of War, who hasn’t been available in the Item Shop since early 2021. There are strong rumors about a collaboration with Atlus’ Persona, though nothing has been confirmed yet. However, players can look forward to some Kingdom Hearts representation in the next season. A recent leak suggests a Rocket League collaboration with Kingdom Hearts, and since players can link their Epic Games accounts across both titles, they will be able to use these cosmetics in Fortnite as well. It’s uncommon for a Rocket League collaboration to occur without a Fortnite crossover, especially during a gaming-themed season.

Chapter 7 Season 4 of Fortnite kicks off in the early hours of August 20, right after the downtime concludes. A recent leak hints that a highly requested franchise could finally be making its debut in Fortnite.
