Fortnite wraps up Chapter 7 Season 3 with thrilling Spider-Man collaborations and more!

Spider-Man swings back into Fortnite, and he’s not alone! The v41.30 patch brings a surprising amount of content for what many thought would be a quiet final update of the season.

Downtime kicked off at 4 a.m. ET on July 30. While some players logged off for the night, others eagerly awaited dataminers to uncover the latest game files. Soon enough, leaks began to surface, revealing a treasure trove of new content for Fortnite. Given that v41.30 marks the end of Chapter 7 Season 3, expectations were low, as many players are just biding their time until Season 4.

However, the patch notes and leaks showed that Chapter 7 Season 3 still has plenty to offer, especially with exciting collaborations. Last week, Fortnite confirmed the return of The Simpsons for a limited-time event, which fans were already buzzing about. The excitement ramped up further with the announcement that John Wick and The Continental Hotel would be featured in the new Reload map of Springfield, the sole island in Reload until Monday. Battle Pass holders should dive into the Reload Quests during this event to unlock an alternate style for John Wick.

In addition to these collabs, NYC rapper Lil Tecca has joined the fray as the music icon for Fortnite Festival Season 15. Players are eager to hit the stage and earn all of his cosmetics. And it’s not just Lil Tecca making waves; Spider-Man is back in the Battle Royale, thanks to a collaboration with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The new Spider-Man: Brand New Day cosmetics are set to hit the Item Shop on Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m. ET. While waiting for the new Spidey skin, players can enjoy Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters, which have been temporarily unvaulted to celebrate the movie’s release. These Web-Shooters can be acquired from the Spider-Man NPC located in The Battlewoods POI or by searching for Spider-Man’s Backpacks, a returning loot container.

Patch v41.30 also introduces several new sprites and variants. Players can now collect Holofoil and Cube variants for the Reaper and Zero Point sprites, along with the Lootin’ Llama, Peeky Peely, and Quack sprites. To speed up their collection, players should level up as much as possible in the Sprite Master track to unlock the Lucky Locator Gizmo. This new gizmo helps players find sprites they haven’t yet collected by spawning a chest with increased rates for undiscovered sprites.
