Forza Horizon 6’s release window hinted at in Horizon 5, with Xbox confirming a spring launch.
It looks like the release date for Forza Horizon 6 has been leaked through an in-game ad in Forza Horizon 5. A pop-up in the previous game is revealing when players can expect the next installment, and it’s just a few months away.
According to a pre-order announcement shared on social media, Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch on May 19, 2026. Players who opt for the Premium Edition may get to hit the tracks a bit earlier, on May 15, along with some exclusive digital bonuses. This includes VIP Membership, a welcome pack, a car pass, and the time attack car pack, plus access to post-launch DLC.
The ad teases players with the chance to “discover the breathtaking landscapes of Japan in over 550 real-world cars,” promising an epic racing experience in the largest open-world adventure yet for the series. However, some players have reported they can’t see this announcement themselves, though it has been confirmed by various sources.
This spring release aligns with the anticipated timeline for the sixth Forza Horizon game. It’s confirmed to be featured in an upcoming Xbox Developer Direct on January 22, where we’ll finally see gameplay and likely get the official release date. The previous title launched in November 2021 for Xbox Series X/S and PC, followed by a PS5 release in April 2022. It seems this time around, Xbox and PC players will get the game first, with the PS5 version arriving just in time for the holiday season.
As of now, there’s been no official comment from Xbox or Microsoft regarding this potential leak. We’ll keep an eye out for any updates, but for now, all eyes are on January 22.
Forza Horizon 6 marks the series’ first venture into Japan, as Playground Games aims to “do the country justice,” a vision that was partly inspired by its Hot Wheels DLC.
