Forza Motorsport to Conclude Content Updates
Turn 10 Studios has announced the conclusion of new content development for Forza Motorsport. In a recent blog update, the studio clarified that there will be no additional cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for the game. However, they will maintain support by keeping the servers operational. “As our team shifts its focus toward delivering the best possible experience with Forza Horizon 6 in 2026, we do not plan to introduce new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for Forza Motorsport,” the studio stated. “Nonetheless, we will continue supporting the game by keeping online servers active, hosting special events and competitions, and reintroducing previously released Featured Tours and reward cars every month, until all content is available for you to enjoy anytime.”
Launched in 2023, Forza Motorsport aimed to revitalize Microsoft’s sim-racing franchise, with plans for long-term live-service support. Following significant layoffs at Turn 10 Studios in July, players observed a noticeable slowdown in new content. Although the studio indicated in August that it would still host several events, these dwindled by the end of 2025. The current focus is now on supporting Playground’s upcoming Forza Horizon 6, which will be set in Japan. “Forza Motorsport is a triumphant return for the simulation racing series, and it has never been as approachable or rewarding,” noted a review, which awarded the game a score of 9/10.
