Frieren season 2 is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, and following the release of the fourth episode last week, a new music video has dropped featuring the fantastic new ending theme. It’s the perfect way to relive the season’s journey so far.

Titled “The Story of Us,” the new ending song is performed by Milet, who also provided the opening theme for season 1, “Anytime Anywhere.” Fans are thrilled with the new theme, with one top comment on YouTube stating, “Please never use anyone else for Frieren endings than Milet… she just gets it man.” Check out the new video below, but be prepared for it to get stuck in your head.

With four episodes in, Frieren season 2 is nearing the halfway mark of its 10-episode run. Season 1 explored the elven mage’s return home after decades and her reflections on the mortality of her friends. Season 2, adapting the manga’s Continued Northern Travels arc, has followed Frieren, Fern, and Stark as they journey into uncharted lands. This season is currently the second-highest rated of all time on My Anime List’s Top Anime rankings, surpassed only by season 1.

It’s clear that Frieren season 2 is one of the standout anime of the winter season, although one of our writers leans towards a more understated drama about everyday life. Even without the new music video, the ending titles of Frieren season 2 have been lauded for their beautiful hand-drawn art that accompanies each episode. The fact that these visuals serve as a strong rebuttal to AI in anime makes it even more satisfying.

Curious about the English dubs for episodes 2 and 3? Both will be available this Friday, February 13, after a two-week delay due to Storm Fern. New episodes will continue to release on Fridays for the next six weeks.
