Get 30% Off One of the Top Metroid Games for Switch!

Nintendo’s “Customer Appreciation” sale is running until September 26th, featuring discounts on Switch games and accessories. One standout deal is for Metroid Prime Remastered, now available for just $27.99 in digital format for the Switch and Switch 2. This remaster is one of the best I’ve experienced, enhancing an already fantastic game with smart updates. You can grab it at this price from various retailers, while the physical version is priced around $42.

Most Metroid enthusiasts have likely played this title multiple times, but if you haven’t yet, now’s the perfect opportunity to dive in. The game boasts modernized textures and improved lighting from the original 2002 GameCube release, all while maintaining a smooth frame rate. Plus, the control scheme has been refined to eliminate the need for motion controls, unlike the Wii re-release.

For fans looking to expand their collection, the Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective hardcover book is also available for about the same price. Typically retailing for $49.99, it’s currently priced at $28.50 on Amazon and Walmart. This 208-page art book delves into the original trilogy, featuring insightful quotes from the developers. It offers a unique glimpse into Nintendo’s first-person shooter series and their game design philosophy, making it a great gift option for the upcoming holiday season.

Other notable deals include:

* Flow, one of the best animated films in recent years, is now available for a steal. If you don’t have HBO Max, you can snag the 4K version from Apple TV or Amazon for just $4.99. This charming, voiceless story follows a cat navigating a post-flood world, relying on other animals for survival. It’s a delightful way to spend 90 minutes.

* Anker’s 2-in-1 USB-C cable is a must-have accessory. This versatile cable can charge two devices from a single port (up to 140W for one device), and the six-foot version is now down to $15.99 at Amazon. While this is only a $4 discount, it’s the lowest price we’ve seen, making it a practical addition to your charging setup. My partner and I frequently use it to alternate charging our MacBooks and an iPad, with the occasional phone or Kindle thrown in.

* Best Buy has a tempting offer on the white Magic Keyboard with Touch ID. While the black version was recently discounted by $30 to $169.99, that deal has ended. However, the white key cap model is now available for $149.99. It’s compatible with all Macs featuring Apple silicon, starting from the M1 models (as long as you have macOS 15.1 or later). The keyboard recharges via USB-C and includes a full numeric keypad, along with additional keys for easier navigation.
