Get Ready for the Resident Evil Showcase: A Sneak Peek at RE: Requiem Gameplay and Leon Kennedy Awaits!
Capcom is ramping up the excitement for Resident Evil Requiem with a new showcase stream. Here’s everything you need to know about when and where to catch it live.
The last glimpse of Resident Evil Requiem came during The Game Awards, where Leon Kennedy was revealed as the second playable character in a not-so-secret reveal. Now, just over a month later, Capcom is gearing up for a showcase that promises to dive deeper into Uncle Leon’s adventures, along with a likely update on Grace Ashcroft.
According to the trailer on YouTube, the event will showcase “brand new gameplay and news for Resident Evil Requiem.” The accompanying web page hints that “some of the games included in the show aren’t suitable for children,” suggesting that Requiem won’t be the only title featured. With Resident Evil 7 and Village set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 the same day as Requiem, it’s likely we’ll see some related content, but fans can always dream about a Code Veronica remake.
Capcom has a history of dropping demos ahead of major releases, as seen with Resident Evil 7, Village, and the remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4. So, a demo reveal during this event is definitely a possibility.
You can tune into the Resident Evil Showcase stream on YouTube this Thursday, January 15, at 2 PM PT, 5 PM ET, or 10 PM GMT.
While the stream isn’t live yet, the teaser video is available on the Capcom Europe YouTube channel, and it’s likely to be streamed there as well as on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel.
Fans of Resident Evil Requiem are clearly excited about Leon Kennedy, with some humorously expressing their desire to snag his iconic jacket.
