Get Ready: Pluribus Season 2 Arrives Soon!

The anticipation for season 2 of Pluribus is becoming increasingly intense, but fans have a reason to celebrate as Rhea Seehorn snagged the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Vince Gilligan’s series on Apple TV Plus made a significant impact when it debuted late last year. Seehorn plays the cantankerous romance author Carol Sturka, whose life takes a dramatic turn when those around her become part of a global hive-mind. Tragically, some, including Carol’s wife Helen, meet their end during this transformation. While the new virus brings overwhelming happiness and resolves conflicts like war, Carol is determined to thwart the hive-mind’s agenda and return the world to its former state.

Pluribus quickly became a standout favorite, and Seehorn’s portrayal was nothing short of remarkable. Her ability to embody Carol’s fierce, no-nonsense demeanor while revealing genuine moments of vulnerability made for captivating viewing. It’s no wonder that, in addition to her Golden Globe win, Seehorn also received the Best Actress in a Drama Series award at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

During her acceptance speech, Seehorn expressed heartfelt gratitude to Gilligan for crafting “the role of a lifetime.” This collaboration isn’t new; she previously captivated audiences as Kim Wexler in Gilligan’s Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, alongside Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman. The fact that the role of Carol was specifically written for Seehorn adds an extra layer of satisfaction to her recognition.

Excitingly, it seems we won’t have to wait long for Seehorn to be in the awards spotlight again for her role as Carol Sturka. She confirmed that Pluribus is set to return for season 2 as soon as possible, with the writing team already back at work and Gilligan eager to dive in.

“I know [Gilligan] wants us to go as soon as possible. He’s not playing any kind of game to make people wait for this. But he wants to craft the show with all the care for his fans and the people following this story that he can. So we’ll get back as fast as we can.”
