Godzilla Minus Zero Set to Release in the U.S.

A major buzz has erupted online today with the announcement that Godzilla Minus Zero, the highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Godzilla Minus One, has officially locked in its U.S. release date. The colossal creature is set to make his debut in Japan on November 3, and just three days later, he’ll be stomping into theaters across the States on November 6.

Returning to direct is Takashi Yamazaki, who previously crafted what many fans consider the ultimate Godzilla film. This new installment is set in post-WWII Japan and follows a disgraced pilot who seeks redemption by confronting the fearsome, flame-breathing titan, which promises to be more terrifying than ever.

While specific plot details for Minus Zero remain under wraps, we can’t help but speculate on some thrilling moments. Expect at least one building to topple, a crowd of terrified citizens fleeing, and a heroic showdown that ends with Godzilla looking distinctly unimpressed. Just a hunch!

Fans of the legendary kaiju will have plenty to look forward to in the coming months. Not only is Godzilla Minus Zero hitting theaters at the end of 2026, but another entry in the Monsterverse, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, is set to release on March 26, 2027. This film will feature Dan Stevens returning to the franchise, alongside newcomers Kaitlyn Dever, Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, and Matthew Modine. Rumor has it that SpaceGodzilla might make an appearance as well.

If you can’t wait that long for some epic monster action, the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV on February 27, 2026.
