Google aims for its AI assistant CC to take over your morning browsing routine.

Google is gearing up to enhance your mornings with its latest AI initiative. The company is rolling out an experimental agent designed to sift through your emails, calendar, and documents, providing you with a daily briefing right in your inbox.

This new feature, dubbed CC, sends out a “Your Day Ahead” summary each morning. It offers a tailored overview of your schedule, highlighting important tasks and updates you need to keep in mind, such as upcoming bills or appointments. CC can also draft emails and create calendar links, helping you kickstart your day efficiently.

Initially, CC will be available in early access to paid subscribers over 18 in the US and Canada. Google has opened a waitlist for those interested, although it hasn’t specified how long the waitlist will be or when broader access will be granted.

Powered by Google’s Gemini AI model, CC learns about your preferences by integrating with your Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, as well as pulling information from the web. You can customize the experience by sharing more about yourself, either by responding to its briefings or emailing it directly.

CC joins a suite of other Google agents focused on tasks like coding, shopping, and web browsing in Chrome. It bears a striking resemblance to ChatGPT Pulse, a personalized briefing tool that OpenAI introduced in September, which CEO Sam Altman hailed as one of his favorite features in recent times.
