Pokemon’s 30th anniversary kicks off on February 27. While major gaming accessory brands have yet to unveil new products for the celebration, you can already snag Razer’s Pokemon Edition Kraken V4 X wired headset. This headset features the charming faces of Pikachu and the Kanto starters—Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur—and is available at a record low just in time for the milestone.
At Woot, you can grab this Poke-pair for $69.99, the best price I’ve seen so far. Even on Amazon’s US site, the gaming headset is priced at $80.99, which is its lowest ever. While it may not be the most high-end headset out there, licensed gear often comes with a premium price tag, so any discount is a win for Pokemon fans.
Razer Kraken V4 X Pokemon Edition | $99.99 $69.99 at Woot Save $30 – This wired gaming headset is one of the more basic models in the Kraken lineup. However, it still includes Razer’s renowned Triforce 40mm audio drivers found in higher-end models, along with 7.1 surround sound, a retractable cardioid microphone, and compatibility with PC, PS5, and Switch 2 thanks to its straightforward 3.5mm wired connection.
Buy it if:
✅ You play on PC/Switch 2/PS5
✅ You’re a Pokemon fan
✅ You grew up with Gen 1
Don’t buy it if:
❌ You need Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless
❌ You prefer the Razer Gengar headset
❌ You want a more feature-rich Kraken model
UK: £91.98 at Amazon
For die-hard Pokemon fans, this version of the Kraken V4 X is a solid pick. While it may not be the most visually striking Pokemon accessory Razer has released— that title likely goes to the Gengar Edition Kraken Kitty V2 headset, currently priced at $139.99—it’s a more budget-friendly option for those who want to celebrate their love for the franchise without going overboard.
The yellow and black color scheme subtly channels Pikachu vibes without being too flashy. Personally, I enjoy accessories that make a bold statement, but I understand that not everyone wants to wear something that stands out too much.
As a wired headset, it lacks Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless support. If that’s a dealbreaker, consider the Razer Barracuda X Chroma at $109.99, which might suit your needs better. However, the simple 3.5mm wired connection makes the V4 X compatible with the Switch 2, allowing you to enjoy Pokemon Legends Z-A and other titles in the series with an officially licensed product—definitely a fun way to embrace your fandom.
With licensed tech, you often pay a premium for the official branding and artwork. But with this $30 discount, the price drops from the standard $99.99 MSRP to align with Razer’s more understated wired options, making it a smart choice for budget-conscious Pokemon fans.
I’ve also compiled lists of the best PS5 headsets, best PC gaming headsets, and best Xbox Series X headsets if this wired Razer option isn’t quite what you’re looking for.
