GTA 6 is still set to launch this November, and if you’re concerned about the future of GTA Online, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has some reassuring news. He believes there’s “every reason to believe” that support for the game will continue.

During a recent Q&A following Take-Two’s earnings call, Zelnick addressed questions about the future of GTA Online after the release of GTA 6. While he noted that they typically keep a low profile regarding creative developments, he emphasized the ongoing support for the game, highlighting the strong community engagement.

“I have every reason to believe we’ll continue to support GTA Online. There’s a great community that loves it, that stays engaged, and again, in this quarter, Rockstar has shown that when you deliver great additional content, despite how long GTA Online has been around, people show up,” he stated.

This comes on the heels of the significant A Safehouse in the Hills update for GTA Online, which was released in December 2025. Earlier in the call, Zelnick mentioned that the Grand Theft Auto series had exceeded their expectations, with a reported 27% increase in recurrent customer spending for GTA Online.

Fans have been speculating about the fate of GTA Online post-GTA 6—will there be a successor that leads to the original game’s retirement? Last year, Zelnick reassured fans by stating that they generally support their franchises as long as players remain engaged, and historically, they have shown a commitment to legacy titles when there’s a dedicated community. So, as long as GTA Online has an active player base, it seems there’s little to worry about.

Take-Two’s CEO also confirmed that physical copies of GTA 6 will not be delayed to prevent leaks: “That’s not the plan.”
