GTA 6 Fans Believe Trailer 3 Is Just Around the Corner After a Year of Anticipation

Grand Theft Auto 6’s second trailer dropped back in May 2025, and over a year later, fans are still eagerly awaiting the next one. Recent updates from various sources, including a reliable leaker and some intriguing website changes, have many in the GTA community buzzing with anticipation that something is on the horizon—perhaps soon.

The excitement kicked off on July 28 when well-known leaker NateTheHate held a Q&A on Twitter. When asked about GTA 6, he hinted, “I expect to see a fair bit of GTA 6 next month,” specifying that he meant August. This sparked a wave of enthusiasm among fans.

Then, on Wednesday, a popular content creator in the GTA community reported noticing some backend updates to the GTA 6 website. They tweeted, “There’s now been 3 minor updates to the website today. It certainly looks like something might be happening soon. If not later today, keep a close eye on Rockstar and the GTA 6 site tomorrow. No guarantees, but this is definitely unusual!”

When asked if they had seen similar updates before the cover reveal and pre-order details were announced in June, the creator confirmed they had noticed similar activity the day before. “Last time I detected a change out of the blue, the cover art and pre-order announcement dropped the next day. Doesn’t mean that’ll happen this time, but they’re definitely working on something.”

As expected, the GTA community went into overdrive. On Reddit and other platforms, fans shared memes about “hopium” and debated whether trailer three was imminent or criticized the hype surrounding rumors. Additionally, some fans noted that Rotten Tomatoes’ gaming YouTube channel had just uploaded the second trailer and was being coy in the comments, which some interpreted as another clue.

Another interesting angle is that Take-Two’s next investor call is scheduled for August 7. If trailer three were to drop in the coming days, it would align perfectly with that call. Historically, Rockstar has timed marketing efforts around these investor calls, adding to the speculation. Plus, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned earlier this year that the GTA 6 marketing campaign would kick off in the summer.

So, what’s the takeaway? Realistically, it’s clear that Rockstar is gearing up to release a new trailer or some form of content soon. With GTA 6 set to launch on November 19, the clock is ticking. A game of this magnitude will undoubtedly have a significant marketing push, which has yet to fully materialize. With limited time left before November, unless a delay occurs (which seems highly unlikely), Rockstar will need to share more GTA 6 news with fans sooner rather than later. Perhaps tomorrow will be the day? We’ll find out soon enough.
