GTA 6 PC Release Date Announced

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to hit Windows PC early next year, according to a recent report.

Sources indicate that GTA 6 is expected to launch on PC “within the first three months of 2027.” This information comes from four industry insiders who spoke anonymously about the studio’s plans. Rockstar has yet to make an official statement regarding the PC version of GTA 6.

The game is set to debut on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Rockstar has a history of making PC gamers wait, often prioritizing console releases first. For instance, Grand Theft Auto 5 was released for consoles in September 2013 but didn’t arrive on PC until April 2015, over a year and a half later. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 took a year to make its way to PC after its console launch.

If GTA 6 does launch on PC in early 2027, it would mean that PC players would only have to wait a few extra months to experience what is anticipated to be one of the biggest games of the generation. Fans have long speculated about a PC version, and recent modding guidelines from Rockstar have only fueled that optimism.

The Windows PC release of Grand Theft Auto 6 may not be the only significant event in 2027. When pre-orders opened, Rockstar referred to GTA 6 as a “single-player experience,” which raised questions about the future of Grand Theft Auto Online. Last month, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy hinted during a conversation with Bloomberg that the platform would see a surge in viewers “next year when [Rockstar] launch[es] multiplayer.” As with the potential PC launch, Rockstar has not officially commented on any online features for GTA 6.

While Rockstar has been tight-lipped about GTA 6 details, a hacking group has been leaking information about the game. Recently, Cyberleek shared videos featuring the game’s protagonists, Jason and Lucia, in compromising situations. The group has attempted to leverage this attention to promote its memecoin, a strategy that has not gone as planned.

With November 19 approaching, excitement is building.
