GTA 6 Preview Set to Debut Exclusively on Netflix as Fans Anticipate Trailer 3
Fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and it looks like the next glimpse of this highly awaited open-world title will be showcased through Netflix. Rockstar Games has announced that an exclusive extended footage reveal will premiere on the streaming service on August 27.
In a unique collaboration with Netflix, Rockstar Games shared that subscribers will get to see an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI on Thursday, August 27, at 3 p.m. ET. This new installment in the iconic series arrives 13 years after the launch of GTA V, coinciding with Netflix’s early ventures into original content. This partnership signifies a new era of storytelling and engagement on the platform.
The extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI will also be available on Rockstar’s official YouTube channel and the game’s dedicated website at 9 p.m. ET on the same day.
A countdown timer is already in place, and the footage will go live on Rockstar’s YouTube channel six hours later at 9:00 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, fans hoping for a sneak peek before then might be disappointed, as the studio has not revealed the length of the Netflix footage or what insights it might provide.
“Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural events in their own right,” said a Netflix VP. “The excitement and community surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI is unmatched, and we’re thrilled that Rockstar Games has chosen to debut the next chapter of the Grand Theft Auto saga with Netflix members first. This reflects our vision for Netflix: a platform where ambitious storytelling from any medium can reach the widest audience possible.”
Historically, Rockstar has conducted hands-off preview events months ahead of their game releases, but so far, the only information available about GTA 6 comes from two trailers and some details regarding pre-order and Deluxe Edition bonuses. The parent company has indicated that marketing efforts for this blockbuster title are expected to intensify over the summer.
It remains to be seen whether any surprise announcements will drop before August 27 or if Rockstar will host hands-on events for media and content creators leading up to the game’s launch.
