GTA 6 Set for November Release with Summer Marketing Push Ahead
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, has reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to drop this November during its latest earnings call. The CEO even hinted that marketing for the highly anticipated title will kick off this summer.
In a recent press release regarding Take-Two’s Q3 2026 earnings, it was confirmed that the marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated to begin in the summer. This suggests that, after several delays, the game is genuinely on track for a late-year release.
“I feel good about it. Very good about it,” Zelnick stated when asked about the November 19 launch date for GTA 6. “Of course, because any time you’re getting closer to marketing beats, you’re obviously in a place where your confidence level is as high as it can be.”
Additionally, Zelnick shared with a newsletter that acknowledging the upcoming marketing push is a significant shift from his usual stance of letting Rockstar handle those announcements. “You know me pretty well; for me to even say we’ve got marketing beats coming this summer is a huge departure from what I usually say, which is that our labels will make marketing announcements.”
Typically, Take-Two keeps such details under wraps, allowing Rockstar to reveal them later, which is a positive indicator that GTA 6’s development is progressing well. Companies don’t commit to costly marketing strategies and share them publicly unless they are confident in the game’s status. While Zelnick has previously expressed optimism about GTA 6’s release date only for it to be delayed, this time he and Take-Two have not only voiced confidence but also outlined a marketing timeline. Although circumstances can change, it appears that GTA 6 is indeed set to launch as planned on November 19.
