GTA 6 Teams Up with Miami Heat for Exciting Crossover Event
Rockstar Games has unveiled the latest chapter in its ambitious marketing strategy for Grand Theft Auto 6. The company has already secured a $3 million partnership with Miami, the city that inspired the game’s Vice City backdrop, and has now expanded this collaboration to include the local NBA team. For one night only, the Miami Heat will don Vice City-themed gear.
“A Night in Vice City” is set for November 18, just a day before the highly anticipated launch of GTA 6. During this event, the Heat will face off against the Milwaukee Bucks while sporting new uniforms on a specially designed court. The Kaseya Center, the Heat’s home arena, has also been transformed, featuring a “Welcome to Vice City” sign on its roof.
According to Rockstar, the event will include “special game programming and live elements throughout the night.” Fans can catch the Vice City takeover live on ESPN at 7 p.m. EST on November 18.
Of course, the GTA 6 and Miami Heat crossover brings a wave of new merchandise. The Heat’s online store is currently showcasing a Vice City collection with exclusive apparel for this collaboration. While the special Vice City jerseys have yet to be revealed, it’s likely that replicas will be available once they are unveiled.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Additionally, there are hints that multiplayer features for GTA 6 may be introduced shortly after the game’s release.
