GTA 6 to Launch with Exclusive PlayStation Hardware
On Thursday morning’s State of Play, Sony revealed that the PlayStation 5 will soon feature a DualSense controller inspired by Grand Theft Auto 6.
This stylish controller boasts glossy purple accents and palm tree etchings, with a prominent “VI” on the touchpad, adorned with its own palm tree decals. The back of the controller showcases the iconic GTA logo, ensuring you remember its theme. Available in a sleek black and white color scheme, the controller is now up for pre-order and will launch alongside GTA 6 on November 19, 2026, priced at $84. You can pre-order directly from Sony or through major retailers.
“These limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers capture the style and luxury of Vice City,” states the description in the controller’s trailer.
There’s a solid reason to grab this new controller, as GTA 6 is set to reintroduce L3 sprinting, leading players to anticipate significant wear on their gear during the game’s extensive 80-hour campaign. The game will also utilize special DualSense features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. While there’s currently no word on a GTA 6-themed PS5 console or a bundle that includes the game, console, and new controller, Sony’s treatment of GTA 6 suggests that an announcement could be on the horizon. It would be a perfect way to showcase the PS5 Pro enhancements for GTA 6.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19.
Fans are curious whether Jason and Lucia will control similarly to John Marston in Red Dead Redemption 2.
