GTA 6 Will Skip Game Discs but Offer Vinyl and CD Soundtracks

Grand Theft Auto is well-known for its licensed music, but the series has also included a variety of original tracks crafted specifically for its games. Grand Theft Auto 6 is no exception, boasting a double album’s worth of songs made for Rockstar’s upcoming crime saga. Interestingly, while the game will be delivered as digital codes, the soundtrack will actually be available on CD and vinyl. How’s that for a twist?

The soundtrack is set to drop alongside the game on November 19, and it will be available on streaming platforms as well as in physical stores. To build excitement, a few tracks have already been released, including:

The complete album will feature 34 tracks, with two vinyl records being exclusive to the game’s official site, while retailers like Best Buy will also offer their own unique editions.

Some of these tracks are clearly designed to capture the action, chaos, and wildness that GTA is famous for, while others seem tailored to highlight the romance between the main characters, Jason and Lucia. One particular song by Morgan Wallen feels like it could play during a reflective moment after a heated argument, as Jason drives around contemplating his shortcomings as a boyfriend. Keep in mind, there are still 28 tracks yet to be unveiled, so if these initial releases don’t resonate with you, there’s a good chance some of the upcoming songs will.
