GTA 6 YouTuber Visits Rockstar Games Office, Sparks Police Response

A YouTuber known for creating content around Grand Theft Auto 6 recently filmed himself entering the lobby of Rockstar North, claiming that local police were called to the scene.

If you’ve been keeping up with gaming news, you’re likely aware that Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most eagerly awaited titles set to release in 2026, and it’s poised to be one of the largest media launches ever. The anticipation has led to some wild behavior as fans eagerly await new trailers or any hints about the game. This context doesn’t excuse the actions of one content creator on May 26, the original planned release date for GTA 6 before its second delay, but it does shed light on why someone would travel to Edinburgh, Scotland, and enter the studio’s lobby.

On June 2, as noted by an outlet, German YouTuber ÜberGaming shared a video showing his entrance into Rockstar North’s lobby after staying at a nearby luxury hotel. He also posted a photo featuring two police officers, claiming they arrived after Rockstar contacted them. Reactions online ranged from confusion to outrage, with many accusing the creator of seeking attention. Some even suggested he was arrested, though that remains unverified. It’s more likely he was simply escorted off the property and warned against returning.

Rockstar Games has been approached for further details regarding the incident. Grand Theft Auto 6 is still scheduled to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Unfortunately for the developers at Rockstar North, who are already facing various challenges, this isn’t the first instance of an overly enthusiastic fan showing up uninvited. Last October, a TikTok creator also made headlines for harassing employees at the studio.

It should be clear: showing up at game studios to harass staff or trespass is not acceptable behavior, no matter how excited you are about a game. Let’s keep it together—read a book, enjoy some ice cream, or take a nap instead. Just don’t engage in this kind of nonsense.
