GuliKit Unveils Versatile Mobile Dock for Switch 2, Enabling TV-Free Gaming

After a teaser on X last week, GuliKit has unveiled a new version of its TV Docking Station, now compatible with the Switch 2 alongside earlier models like the original Switch and OLED version. This updated dock retains a similar design to its predecessor, resembling a compact streaming box with a magnetic dust cover that flips to support a docked Switch. It’s available now through various retailers for $29.99, making it a more affordable option compared to Jsaux’s $46 OmniCentro Dock and Genki’s $69.99 Covert Dock 3, while offering additional functionality.

Weighing in at just 105 grams, GuliKit’s TV Docking Station for Switch 2 is significantly lighter than the 381-gram dock that comes with Nintendo’s latest console. Its compact size measures 3.4 inches on each side and stands under an inch tall. While it may be slightly larger than other mobile docks that plug directly into a wall (GuliKit’s dock uses the Switch 2’s included AC adapter), it’s designed to securely hold your console while connected to a TV, even with a protective case. The underside features a sliding switch that elevates the USB-C connector to fit most cases.

On the back, the dock includes an HDMI port that supports 4K at 60Hz, 2K at 120Hz, and 1080p at 240Hz, exceeding the capabilities of Nintendo’s handhelds. Additionally, there’s a USB-C port for power delivery, a USB-A port for charging accessories like controllers, and a button to toggle between TV Docking Mode and Desktop Charging Mode. The latter allows you to play on your Switch’s screen while it charges in the dock, rather than outputting to a TV.
