Hades 2 Launching on PS5 and Xbox Next Month

Hades 2 is set to launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in April, and it will also be available through the Game Pass subscription service. Previously, the game was exclusive to Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

During the Xbox Partner Preview event on March 26, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 will arrive on PS5, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Series X/S on April 14. This release comes about seven months after its debut on Switch and Switch 2 in September 2025. A new trailer has been released to showcase the PS5 and Xbox port of this roguelike action game featuring Melinoë, the Princess of the Underworld.

Initially launched in early access on PC in 2024, Hades 2 serves as a sequel to the acclaimed 2020 title, building on its fast-paced roguelike gameplay with new characters and expanded progression options to confront Chronos, the titan of time. This marks Supergiant’s first sequel, and since its release, it has garnered positive reviews and strong sales on Switch and PC. Now, it’s finally branching out to additional platforms.

Interestingly, Hades 2 will not be available on PS4 and Xbox One. While it runs on both the Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch, it seems capable of functioning on the older consoles. However, the decision was made to skip these platforms. Supergiant has been contacted for clarification on this choice, and updates will be provided if a response is received.

Hades 2 is currently playable on Switch, Switch 2, and PC, with its release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, along with Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Streaming, scheduled for April 14.
