Has the release date for Control Resonant been subtly adjusted?

PlayStation’s June State of Play showcase has wrapped up, delivering a slew of thrilling announcements, including a fresh look at Marvel’s Wolverine and the world premiere of God of War: Laufey. We also got a new trailer for Control: Resonant, along with a confirmed release date for Remedy Entertainment’s eagerly awaited sequel. If you tuned into State of Play like most viewers, the bold red text in the trailer announcing the September 24 release date was hard to miss. It couldn’t be clearer!

However, if you were watching State of Play while multitasking like a dedicated journalist, frantically typing notes and snagging screenshots on a second screen, you might have overlooked that crucial frame. Instead, you could have turned to the YouTube description of the trailer, which mistakenly lists the release date as August 27 instead of September 24.

At first glance, it appears that Remedy may have updated the date recently. How did this August release date end up in the YouTube description on PlayStation’s official channel? As of now, the YouTube description still shows the August date.

A representative from Remedy Entertainment clarified, “The release date is the 24th of September; if you see something else listed, that is the wrong date.” Efforts to get a comment from Sony are ongoing.
