Helldivers 2 introduces a new premium Warbond featuring a reloadable, explosive hammer, while fans are buzzing about the hint of a classic faction making a comeback.

Arrowhead Studios has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming Helldivers 2 Siege Breakers Warbond, set to launch on February 3. This premium Warbond promises a fresh assortment of armor, weapons, and stratagems, and hints at the potential return of a faction from the original game.

The trailer wraps up with a brief segment featuring a “confidential incoming transmission,” captured from the perspective of a downed diver. Though the audio is faint, it suggests the presence of a voice speaking in the Automaton language, hinting at the return of the Automaton progenitors, the Cyborgs, from the first Helldivers.

In addition to the tantalizing tease of the Cyborgs’ comeback, there are several other exciting reveals. The iconic Trident shotgun from the original game will make a comeback as the primary weapon in this new Warbond.

New stratagems include a belt-fed grenade launcher and a leveller, but the standout is undoubtedly the breaching hammer. This tool can be loaded with explosive charges, allowing players to create maximum chaos.

With just a week to go before the Warbond drops, we’re gearing up to face our old yet familiar Cyborg foes, armed with our explosive hammers.

The Helldivers 2 update also introduces stealth missions and tweaks to suppressed weapons, enabling players to “bang bang less,” while Arrowhead is finally set to make the slim PC build the default option for everyone.
