In Helldivers 2, some are trying to twist the narrative into an anti-liberty message. Absurd, right? The essence of freedom and democracy is at the core of the game! These mechanical foes have even gone so far as to alter the intro to paint Super Earth’s forces in a negative light and hack into official channels to spread misinformation.

Fortunately, the dedicated player base is seeing through this ruse. Within the multiplayer shooter community, players are pushing back against the notion that we might be the villains. “They’re spreading baseless propaganda now!” one Reddit thread declares. Any such accusation is a blatant fabrication aimed at undermining the democratic process.

“I can’t believe they would deceive their own citizens about our peaceful intentions! We must put an end to this and bring managed democracy to their shores!” exclaimed one shocked Reddit user. “Look at how the jeep didn’t run over those two adult automatons? Totally fake,” commented another regarding the robotic reinterpretation of the Helldivers 2 intro cinematic.

While we do have factories that repurpose older or less useful individuals into resources, our approach is far more humane and rewarding. “The difference is that they voluntarily step into the grinder, recognizing they can no longer contribute to democracy,” explained a Redditor.

“Every volunteer gets a free ride on a Super Destroyer and a personal salute from General Brash before they embark on their final mission.”

These experiences are fundamentally different. In our case, it’s all for the greater good of the galaxy, and if you’re not on board with that, you’re considered an enemy. Feel free to ask what happens to anything that stands in Super Earth’s way; spoiler alert, it’s not pretty.

Helldivers 2 is also bringing back the underrated service technician, whose voice actor is thrilled to return: “I love this game, this team, and this character!”
