Highguard’s Initial Update Delivers Key Fixes, While PC Optimization Remains in Progress

Highguard players were shocked when the raid hero shooter launched without an FOV slider for consoles. Fortunately, that’s changed, along with several other tweaks to address launch week issues.

A recent patch has rolled out a variety of enhancements, including FOV sliders for consoles, toggle options for aiming down sights and crouching, various video settings, and more. The development team is also focused on optimization improvements, which will take a few more days to finalize.

Now, players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can adjust their field of view up to 110. Additionally, new visual settings allow PC players to manage rendering loads for better framerate. While options to disable motion blur and depth of field aren’t available yet, they are on the way. A significant bug on PS5 that caused crashes after matches has also been fixed.

This initial wave of improvements comes as Highguard works to maintain its presence in the multiplayer scene after its recent launch on PC and consoles. Despite facing a surge of negative reviews and a drop in concurrent player counts on PC, some console players have reported enjoying the game more as they dive deeper into its unique blend of genres.
