Highlights from Today’s Major Xbox Showcase
In January, we caught a sneak peek at Xbox’s plans for 2026 during a Developer Direct that showcased titles like Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and Kiln. Recently, an Xbox Partner Showcase revealed a lineup of third-party games set to launch on Xbox ahead of those major releases.
The highlight of the showcase was Stranger Than Heaven, the newest title from Ryu Ga Gotoku, the studio behind Like a Dragon. We also saw a new sci-fi game from Sniper Elite developer Rebellion, a teaser for upcoming STALKER 2 DLC, and confirmation that big titles like Dispatch and Hades 2 are on their way to Xbox.
Here’s a rundown of the announcements from the Xbox Partner Direct in March.
We received exciting updates on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a third-person action-RPG inspired by the Expanse TV series. Players will create a custom captain and build a crew, with a closed beta set for April 22. The game is slated for a spring 2027 release and will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
While a specific release date for Stranger Than Heaven wasn’t provided, we learned that the game will span five eras and cities. It will also be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. For those eager for more information, a dedicated showcase for Stranger Than Heaven is scheduled for May 6.
Hades 2 is finally making its debut on platforms beyond the Nintendo Switch, launching on Xbox on April 14 and available through Xbox Game Pass.
The acclaimed Dispatch will be arriving on Xbox this summer, compatible with Xbox Series X and PC, and will support Xbox Cloud.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to receive its first major expansion, titled Cost of Hope. This DLC will delve into the conflict between the Freedom and Hope factions, taking players to the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and promises over 20 hours of new content, launching this summer.
Rebellion is back with a new sci-fi title called Alien Deathstorm, following last year’s Atomfall. This first-person adventure challenges players to survive on a space colony beset by fierce storms and deadly aliens. While no release window was announced, it will be available on Xbox Game Pass and support Xbox Cloud.
The showcase kicked off with a world premiere trailer for Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, a first-person game where players hunt down nefarious vampires in the World of Darkness universe, which includes the Vampire: The Masquerade series. It’s currently slated for a summer 2027 release and will feature Xbox Cloud support.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse marks the latest installment in Croteam’s iconic first-person shooter series. This time, players will control five alternate versions of Sam, each with unique abilities, as they unite to take down the villainous Mental. The game is set to launch later this year.
