Hollow Knight Lego Set Moves Closer to Becoming a Reality

Just when you thought the adorable hero of the metroidvania classic Hollow Knight couldn’t get any cuter, Lego steps into the spotlight. A fan-created set that looks fantastic has made it to the final results of Lego’s third Ideas Review for 2025. While an official collaboration between Lego and Team Cherry isn’t available just yet, the dream is closer than ever.

Lego revealed the results of its Ideas Review 2025-3 on July 14. The entry titled “Hollow Knight: A Journey to Hallownest,” crafted by fan creator Pingouin RainbowDash, didn’t make the cut for an official set this time around; however, it has been placed in the Parking Lot. This designation means that Lego will take more time to review the product idea before making a final decision. So, there’s still a chance that the Hollow Knight-themed set could become an official Lego product down the line. Updates on Parking Lot ideas will be shared in future Ideas Reviews.

The mock-up of “Hollow Knight: A Journey to Hallownest” showcased in the announcement video is quite impressive. The set features a modular design consisting of three distinct sections. The scenes depict the Knight taking a break on a bench in Dirtmouth, Hornet in the lush surroundings of Greenpath, and the Shade in Crystal Peak.

The Hollow Knight set was one of four entries that made it to the Parking Lot in this latest review. The other three were inspired by Bob’s Burgers, Naruto, and the iconic photo “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.” The three sets that were selected for official production include a Jumanji board game, a Universal Monsters castle, and a pair of stunning kimonos.

Since its launch in 2017, Hollow Knight has solidified its status as one of the greatest metroidvanias ever created. Last year, after a lengthy development period, Team Cherry finally released the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong. While many fans appreciated what Silksong brought to the table, it also sparked discussions about game difficulty. We ranked it as the eighth best game in our list of the 50 best games of 2025.
