Home Depot’s 12-Foot Halloween Skeleton Universe Set to Grow in 2026

It’s a well-known fact that the 12-foot Home Depot Halloween skeleton, affectionately dubbed Skelly, has captured the hearts of many. Since its debut in 2020, this towering outdoor decoration with glowing LED eyes has become a viral sensation. TikTok videos showcasing Skelly in various seasonal outfits continue to rack up millions of views. With the enthusiasm for this spooky icon showing no signs of waning, Home Depot has unveiled an exciting new lineup of Halloween decorations for the 2026 season, featuring a major upgrade for Skelly.

This year’s 12-foot Skelly comes with app-enabled features, allowing users to control the movements of his head and mouth, and even speak through him in real-time via Bluetooth, complete with optional voice-changing effects. Plus, you can choose from 20 different LCD eyeball designs.

While I typically think that everyday items like toasters and skincare gadgets shouldn’t need an app, I’m all in for an app-enabled Skelly. Not only can you make him talk in your voice, but you can also record and save up to 30 custom sounds. The possibilities for mischief are practically endless! This upgraded 12-foot Skelly will cost you $379.

Home Depot is also introducing a couple of new quirky additions to our yards this fall. Among them is the 8-foot Perilous Plant Monster, priced at $299. This creature features a captivating three-headed design and has four long, bony fingers on each hand. Strangely, it seems to have incorporated the remains of several human bodies into its root-like limbs. I’m not here to judge; it has a Resident Evil miniboss vibe that I find quite appealing.

For those who enjoy folklore, there’s the 5.5-foot Wicked Woods Animated LED Evil Pixie, also new for 2026 and priced at $199. This cheerful little demon looks like he stepped right out of the early hours of Persona 6, and I’m all for it. His mouth, wings, and eyes are animated, and he produces three spooky sound effects. While I can’t confirm this just yet, I have a hunch that if you fall asleep in front of him, he might just eat your face off while cackling like Salacious B. Crumb from Return of the Jedi. Love it!

Even though it’s only July, there’s no harm in starting your Halloween decorating early. After all, skeletons are timeless. Amazon even has a dedicated section for 12-foot skeleton fashions that you can enjoy all year round, featuring everything from aloha shirts to pilgrim outfits and even Elvis costumes.

But will we see even bigger skeletons in the future?
