Hytale’s Lead Hints at Dream Feature Becoming Reality with Simple “Actually” Response

The very existence of Hytale is a bold move, especially since this sandbox game, inspired by Minecraft, was rescued from the brink of cancellation by the original studio, Hypixel, with a release planned for this month. Recently, a fan’s dream about trees that continuously bear fruit has sparked interest, and it seems this idea might be on the developers’ radar.

It all kicked off with a tweet from YouTuber and streamer Prowl8413, who shared, “Had a dream last night that I got to play Hytale early and discovered fruit trees that would regrow its fruit.” They even tagged Simon Collins-Laflamme, the director of Hytale, hoping for confirmation.

In response, Collins-Laflamme noted that while Hytale features berry bushes, “no fruit trees yet!” At first glance, this seemed like a straightforward answer to a fan’s wish in a project already juggling numerous features.

However, a glimmer of hope emerged when Collins-Laflamme followed up over a week later with a simple “Actually.” No further details were provided, and when Prowl8413 sought more information, nothing additional came to light.

From this, we can only speculate that Hytale may indeed include trees that bear fruit for us to enjoy during our adventures. The prospect of a variety of delicious snacks adds an exciting layer to the gameplay.

While this might be a bit of a leap, it certainly feels like Collins-Laflamme is hinting at something special. We’ll find out more when Hytale enters early access on January 13.
