The first limited edition Astro Bot DualSense is my go-to PS5 controller, but I never thought it needed a case. As my most-used pad, it usually stays out for easy access. However, while browsing for deals, I stumbled upon the Astro Bot DualSense Wireless Controller Case & Red Panda Plushie bundle, and now I’m reconsidering my setup.

Priced at $56.99, this case is set to launch in April 2026 and can hold your Astro Bot gamepad or any DualSense controller. Officially licensed by PowerA and toy maker Youtooz, it features a cable pass-through, allowing you to charge your controller even when zipped up. The inclusion of a matching plushie has me rethinking how I use my PS5.

The Astro Bot DualSense Wireless Controller Case & Red Panda Plushie is available for pre-order at $56.99. The case, launching in April, boasts a sturdy outer shell for protection, a cable pass-through for charging on the go, and comes with an adorable Red Panda plushie from Youtooz.

I was surprised there wasn’t a grand announcement for this DualSense case and plushie bundle. A bit of digging revealed the initial reveal on PowerA’s social media back on September 25, 2025, with no further fanfare. For something so charming, especially with the Astro Bot theme, I expected more buzz.

It’s not every day you find a plushie on the official US PS Direct store. The red panda design is inspired by the bot creatures from the game, which is also available as an official costume for Astro. While I might have preferred a plush based on one of Astro’s PlayStation character outfits, like PaRappa the Rapper, the 9-inch Red Panda is undeniably cute.

The plushie comes with the DualSense case, which features a design that complements the officially licensed Astro Bot controllers. Its outer shell reflects Astro’s big, blue, pixelated eyes, and the small wrist strap resembles Astro’s antenna.

The interior is equally themed, showcasing a blue PCB-style pattern with the iconic PS5 controller button symbols. The case is molded to fit the controller snugly, with indents for the sticks to prevent damage during transport. There’s also a pocket for extra accessories, like thumb grips or a USB-C charging cable.

While I’m not entirely convinced my DualSense needs a case since it’s never left my home since I pre-ordered it, I can’t deny that the cute plushie has me questioning my setup. If the cuddly Red Panda is tempting you to rethink yours, be aware that it’s currently only available on the official US PS Direct store, with no specific launch date beyond “April 2026.”

Much like the official Seagate Astro Bot Game Drive, I hope we get more information about its UK availability and overall release date as we approach launch.
