Interactive Horror Game Inspired by The Conjuring Coming from Netflix and Until Dawn Developers

Spooky season is kicking off with a bang as Netflix unveils a new interactive game set in the chilling world of The Conjuring, a beloved horror film franchise. The Conjuring: Unspoken, crafted by the masters of interactive horror at Supermassive Games, drops on October 13, making it an ideal choice for Halloween fun.

The Conjuring franchise, which launched in 2013, has expanded to include nine films, along with various spin-offs. While the saga of Ed and Lorraine Warren wraps up in Last Rites (2025), the universe will continue to evolve with a new prequel, The Conjuring: First Communion (2027). Before that, fans can dive into this fresh gaming experience, bringing the series to life in an entirely new format.

Collaborating with Supermassive Games, known for their hit title Until Dawn and other dark narrative adventures, Netflix has ensured that The Conjuring: Unspoken is in capable hands. Until Dawn has garnered a massive following, making it a perfect fit for this project.

In The Conjuring: Unspoken, players step into the shoes of Francesca Noakes, a demonologist investigating eerie occurrences at the Red Lion Inn in England. Utilizing their phones as ghost-hunting gadgets, players will have access to tools like an electromagnetic reader, infrared camera, and spirit box. As they navigate through spine-tingling encounters, their mission is clear: track down and capture the spirits haunting the Cooper family.

While Unspoken is set in The Conjuring universe, the trailer doesn’t feature Ed and Lorraine Warren. However, there’s a chance they could make an appearance, given their previous adventures in England (as seen in The Conjuring 2). This could also be a spin-off, similar to The Nun and Annabelle, that ties back to the main series.

Currently, The Conjuring: Unspoken is exclusive to Netflix, with no plans for a console or PC release. This means players will need a Netflix subscription to join in on the ghost-hunting action. If you enjoyed interactive experiences like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch or Unhinged, The Conjuring: Unspoken is sure to be right up your alley.

Annabelle now faces some serious competition in this thrilling new adventure.
