Introducing the PlayStation Hyperpop DualSense Collection for PS5

As the new year kicks off, it’s the perfect time to refresh your PS5 setup. Sony is rolling out a vibrant new line of limited-edition PS5 console covers and DualSense controllers, all featuring eye-catching neon colors. The Hyperpop Collection console covers will be exclusive to the PS Direct Store, retailing for $75, while the DualSense controllers will be priced at $85 each. Preorders are set to begin on January 16, with a launch date of March 12.

The DualSense controllers will come in three striking colorways. Techno Red stands out with its bold hue that transitions to a glossy black at the top. Since its debut in November 2020, the DualSense controller has been known for its adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, 3.5mm audio jack, and a Create Button for capturing in-game moments effortlessly. Remix Green is another vibrant choice that’s sure to grab attention, while Rhythm Blue offers a slightly softer, more subdued look with its calming blue tones.

New PS5 console covers and DualSense controller colorways don’t come around often. While you can typically find themed gear for console-exclusive games or occasional releases like Icon Blue, dedicated color collections like these are a rarity. Previous lines include the Chroma Collection and the Deep Earth Collection, both designed to make your PS5 setup pop.

If you’re looking for alternatives, several controllers from earlier collections are still available on Amazon, often at a lower price of $80 each. The Chroma Indigo, Chroma Teal, and Chroma Pearl controllers have been well-received, praised for their elegant layered designs. The Deep Earth DualSense controllers share a similar aesthetic to the Chroma Collection but offer a broader color palette, including Sterling Silver, Cobalt Blue, and Volcanic Red.
