Invincible VS Introduces Beloved New Character with Early Access for Fans

Invincible VS is set to drop next month, but gamers can get a sneak peek of this intense tag-team fighter for free. Developer Quarter Up has announced an open beta running from April 9 to April 11 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, PC players will have to sit this one out.

During the open beta, players can choose from ten of the eighteen fighters that will be available at launch, featuring fan favorites like Invincible, Atom Eve, and Omni-Man. However, the original character created for the game, Ella-Mental, won’t be part of the beta. Revealed at The Game Awards last year, Ella-Mental has a unique moveset focused on elemental powers, though she can still throw a punch when needed.

Joining the beta is the newly announced Allen the Alien, who is voiced by Seth Rogen in the Amazon Prime series. As a friend of Mark, Allen eventually gains enough power to stand up against the Viltrumite warriors.

“First and foremost, we’re building a tournament-quality, brutal superhuman fighting game with a tag component,” said executive producer Mike Willette. “One of our mantras at Quarter Up is we want every player to look and feel like a badass.”

The Invincible VS beta kicks off at 1 p.m. Eastern on April 9 and wraps up at midnight on April 11. The full game is set to launch on April 30 for PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, and it will feature a Year 1 Character Pass that adds four more fighters, with the first two arriving in June.
