It Takes Two may soon launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

A recent report suggests that a document from a Hong Kong video distributor hints at the possibility of 2021’s Game of the Year, *It Takes Two*, making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. This news has sparked excitement among fans, as it likely means enhanced visuals, improved resolution, and better performance.

*It Takes Two* is a co-op adventure that captivated players, winning Game of the Year at the 2021 awards. Originally released in March 2021 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, it later arrived on the Nintendo Switch the following year. By the end of 2024, it had sold over 20 million copies across these platforms. The game follows Cody and Mary, a couple on the brink of divorce who are magically transformed into dolls by their child. To return to their normal lives, they must rediscover their love for each other.

With its quirky elements like gun-toting squirrels and a paper couples counselor, you’d expect *It Takes Two* to deliver a unique narrative experience.

Rumors are swirling that the game will soon launch on the Switch 2, which could further boost its sales. According to a report, *It Takes Two* is set to debut on the Switch 2 on October 15. This information comes from a source close to the report, but it remains unverified at this time.

The game will support multiple languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and English. While the document does not specify the price for *It Takes Two* on the Switch 2, it notes that it will be available as a physical game card and will require 12.1 GB of free storage for installation. This means players can buy a physical copy, but they will still need enough storage space for the download. Given Nintendo’s continued emphasis on physical media, this approach makes sense.

*It Takes Two* is an ideal couch co-op experience and would be a fantastic addition to any Switch 2 library. Players who already own it on the original Switch should stay tuned for updates, as they might be eligible for a free upgrade to the Switch 2 version. If not, they may need to purchase the upgrade, which could range from $2.49 to $19.99, depending on the original price and any new features added.
