Jackery’s High-End Solar Gazebo: A Great DIY Project Idea
Jackery is making waves at CES with its innovative solar-powered Gazebo, set to hit the market in the latter half of the year, starting in California. Priced between $12,000 and $15,000, not including battery storage, you might consider a DIY approach using solar panels and power stations that Jackery and other brands offer.
This aluminum Gazebo measures 4.5m x 3m x 2.7m (14ft 9.17in x 9ft 10.11in x 8ft 10.30in) and comes equipped with 2,000W of solar panels, integrated lighting, a pull-down projector screen, and two weather-resistant AC outlets. When paired with one of Jackery’s power stations, like the new IP65-rated Explorer 1500 Ultra, this solar haven can function as a solar generator, providing power for a portable fridge, TV, projector, sound system, and lighting for several hours. For extended use, you can opt for a larger battery from Jackery’s HomePower series or alternatives from brands like Anker, EcoFlow, or Bluetti.
Just keep in mind that companies often showcase eye-catching products at CES that may never actually make it to market. Last year, Anker unveiled a perovskite beach umbrella that remains unavailable, and previously, Jackery introduced a solar-powered rooftop tent at CES 2024 that has yet to be released.
