Jason Statham’s 116-minute action film makes its debut on a new streaming platform.

Jason Statham is undoubtedly one of the busiest stars in Hollywood. In 2026, he headlined two action-packed films and is set to appear in two more next year, including the much-anticipated Beekeeper 2. Statham has a solid fan base both in the industry and among audiences, even if not all his films hit the mark with critics. One of his movies, which was the only release in 2025, has recently found new life on an unexpected streaming platform.

A Working Man has made a splash on Chili, a European streaming service, where it dominated viewership from September 18 to September 21 and continues to hold a spot in the Top Five. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film grossed nearly $90 million globally, doubling its production budget. It’s definitely worth checking out for those who missed it.

Director David Ayer collaborated with Statham on The Beekeeper (2024) and later crossed paths with him again on the set of A Working Man. Ayer not only directed but also co-wrote the film alongside Sylvester Stallone, creating a dynamic trio that promises an entertaining, action-filled experience.

In A Working Man, Statham trades in his usual roles—like a hermit on a deserted island (Shelter), a bodyguard (Mutiny), or a beekeeper (The Beekeeper)—to portray a construction worker in Chicago. The film takes the familiar former-soldier-slash-cop narrative that Statham fans expect and injects it with a construction site backdrop. As the story unfolds, Statham’s character, Levon Cade, finds himself navigating a web of shady locations while trying to dismantle a Russian mafia operation and rescue his boss’s daughter.

Fans of Jason Statham know what to expect when they dive into one of his action films: a straightforward backstory and exhilarating fight sequences. While he may not be the most versatile actor, he excels in his niche and sticks to what he does best. If you’re looking for more of Statham’s signature style, A Working Man should definitely be on your watchlist, especially after its recent success on the European streaming service Chili, where it has consistently ranked in the Top Five.
