The next installment in the Horizon series, Horizon Hunters Gathering, has been announced, with playtests for this exciting Monster Hunter-inspired co-op action game starting this month. You can sign up for the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest right now.
Guerrilla Games has shared that the first closed playtest will take place at the end of February, with the game’s final form expected to evolve based on player feedback.
To participate in the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest, you’ll need to join the PlayStation Beta program. After signing up, you’ll receive an email detailing what to expect, including invitations to future betas, feature tests, and platform updates.
A dedicated Discord server for Horizon Hunters Gathering has also been established, where Guerrilla team members will provide more information.
In the Discord, principal community manager Anne van der Zanden confirmed that using the shared link will notify the system of your interest in the playtest.
She reiterated that the test is set for the “end of February,” though the duration of the test remains unclear.
“While it’s still early, expect more frequent development updates and playtest announcements from us in the coming months,” said game director Arjan Bak.

Horizon Hunters Gathering will feature crossplay between PS5 and PC, with cross-progression linked to your PlayStation account, ensuring your platform choice won’t hinder your long-term gameplay experience.
