JSAUX Revives a Beloved Nintendo Switch Accessory for Switch 2, Outshining Genki
Genki introduced the Covert Dock for the original Switch six years ago, quickly becoming an essential part of my gaming setup. With its ability to provide quick and easy HDMI output in a compact charging adapter, it’s no surprise it became one of the top accessories for the Nintendo Switch during its time. However, there’s a catch: it’s not compatible with the Switch 2.
While Genki is gearing up to launch the next-gen Covert Dock 3, JSAUX has already made its move. Unveiled at CES 2026, the OmniCentro Charger Dock retains the same compact design as Genki’s original, but it’s ready to support the Nintendo Switch 2 right out of the box. I’ve felt the absence of my portable dock over the past few months, especially during the holiday season, but that’s about to change.
The JSAUX OmniCentro Charger Dock for Nintendo Switch 2 is currently priced at $39.99, down from $45.99. This dock is already available for purchase at a discount on the brand’s website. It offers 4K HDMI output along with 65W of fast-charging power.
This compact dock fully supports the Nintendo Switch 2’s 4K docked mode, although it does reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz. While this is a bit slower than the official dock, Genki’s Covert Dock 3 aims to maintain that higher refresh rate upon its release. However, unless you have a 4K 120Hz TV, you likely won’t notice much difference on your screen.
As for Genki, the Covert Dock 3 was launched on Kickstarter back in September, but it hasn’t hit regular retail yet. Pledges for the US version start at $65, with the global edition priced at $75.
This is a significant price increase compared to JSAUX’s offering. However, the Covert Dock 3 promises full 4K 120Hz output with VRR support. Beyond that, both docks are quite similar, featuring a single USB-A port for controllers or headsets and 65W fast-charging capabilities.
It seems JSAUX has taken the lead this time, making it a solid option for anyone traveling with their Switch 2 (or handheld PC). I used the original Covert Dock and then the Covert Dock 2 until I discovered they wouldn’t support the Switch 2, and I haven’t looked back since.
