Jump In: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Now Available on Switch 2 and Xbox!

The full release is just a month away, but a new demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is now live on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can start Cloud’s adventure in Midgar right away, as save data will carry over to the full game. The official Final Fantasy account on X shared this holiday surprise, highlighting that the demo includes the first chapter of the RPG. By playing it, you can earn Revival Earrings and a Survival Set for the full game, which launches on January 22. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the entire trilogy will be available on both platforms, as the first two parts were previously exclusive to PlayStation consoles. The Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo is available now on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox! Dive into the trilogy today and transfer your save data to the full game at launch on January 22nd.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will also introduce a ridiculously easy mode for Switch 2 and Xbox, allowing players to never die in battle as part of the Streamlined Progression options. However, Switch 2 users should be aware that the game will require 90 to 99 GB of storage. Given that the hybrid console has only 256 GB of internal storage, some game management may be necessary. Originally released for PS4 in 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake was later enhanced for PS5 and PC with the Intergrade edition in 2021, which includes a story expansion centered on Yuffie. This is the same version set to arrive on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. The second part of the trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, launched in 2024.
