Jury Duty Confirms Season 2 Release Date with a Fresh Fake Setup Three Years After Its Success

The hit comedy series Jury Duty is making a comeback for its second season, shifting the action from the courtroom to a company retreat. After a three-year hiatus, fans can look forward to new episodes starting March 20, with a teaser giving a glimpse of what’s in store.

Titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, this documentary-style comedy will stick to its original premise, centering on an unsuspecting regular guy who doesn’t realize that everyone around him is an actor. As the teaser reveals: “In 2023, we gave you unprecedented access to a jury trial. But that was not a normal trial. It was fake… Now we’re following a business on their annual company retreat. Except this is not a real company. It’s fake. Everyone involved is an actor. Except Anthony.”

The new season has a lot to live up to after the success of the first, where Ronald Gladden found himself unwittingly surrounded by actors while serving jury duty. The show quickly became a sensation on Amazon Freevee, garnering multiple Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for James Marsden, the only well-known actor in the cast.

Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat will premiere on March 20 on Prime Video, featuring a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company through the eyes of Anthony, a recently hired temp. Unbeknownst to him, the entire experience is staged, with every colleague playing a role, and every moment—whether in meetings or during breaks—carefully planned. As the founder prepares to step down, the retreat turns into a battle between corporate ambitions and small business values, with the future of the company at stake.

With Freevee now shut down, the new season will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Jury Duty season 2 kicks off on March 20 with three episodes, followed by two more on March 27 and the final three episodes on April 3.
