Kat Dennings Playfully Dismisses Avengers: Doomsday Rumors, Teases Marvel’s Ability to Use Her Image Anytime

Kat Dennings may not have been listed among the cast for Avengers: Doomsday, but the MCU star hints that there’s still a possibility for her to show up, especially with the help of technology.

In a chat with an outlet, Dennings addressed the chances of her involvement in the upcoming film, which will feature Earth’s Mightiest Heroes facing a new threat from a familiar foe—Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. “I mean, I’m not in it. And I’m telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I were in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you, but I literally am not,” Dennings stated. “I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here, I’m not in it.”

Dennings has already made a notable impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portraying the witty assistant to Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Darcy Lewis. She has appeared in three Thor films, WandaVision, and several episodes of What If…? as an alternate version of her character.

However, Dennings did mention that, thanks to AI, Marvel Studios and Disney have her digitally scanned. “But they did scan me, so to be honest, they could put me in anything they want at this point. Who knows? I’m in the system!”

While there’s a chance Darcy could pop up in archive footage, the complexity of the multiverse might make it unlikely for Thor’s friend from his late ex’s past to make an appearance. Fans will have to wait and see when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
