Lego Reintroduces Link and Epona in New Ocarina of Time Set

The upcoming collaboration between Lego and Nintendo is shaping up to be an exciting one. Announced during the 40th Anniversary Direct for The Legend of Zelda, the next Lego set will feature Link and his trusty horse, Epona, coinciding with the release of the Ocarina of Time remake.

In this set, adult Link is depicted riding Epona, brandishing the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. Epona strikes a dynamic pose reminiscent of Jacques-Louis David’s iconic painting, Napoleon Crossing the Alps. Details about the Link & Epona set, such as its price and piece count, are still under wraps, but the initial image suggests that both characters will have posable leg joints.

The Lego The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Link & Epona set will consist of 1,750 pieces and is expected to hit shelves in spring 2027.

Lego and Nintendo have enjoyed a successful partnership in recent years. Earlier this year, they launched Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, a 1,003-piece set featuring Link and Zelda battling Ganon in a recreation of the game’s climactic boss fight, priced at $129.99. Prior to that, the more expensive Deku Tree set, a massive 2,500-piece build, retailed for around $300 before selling out and being retired. Given its smaller scale, it seems likely that the Link & Epona set will be priced lower than its predecessors.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also receiving a remake, with Nintendo showcasing significant gameplay during the Zelda Anniversary Direct. The new version boasts a more realistic yet stylized aesthetic, along with numerous gameplay enhancements. In a nostalgic moment towards the end of the trailer, child Link plays Epona’s Song on his Ocarina to summon his loyal steed.

The remake is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, making it reasonable to expect the Lego set to launch around the same time.

Link, Zelda, and Ganon are set to clash in this latest collaboration from Lego and Nintendo.
