Lego Unveils Its Largest Set Ever Priced at $800

Step aside, Lego World Map! The title of the largest Lego set by piece count now belongs to the newly unveiled Sagrada Familia, a stunning $800 Lego Architecture set boasting over 12,000 pieces.

Revealed on June 4, Lego set 21065 Sagrada Familia is a detailed plastic brick rendition of Antoni Gaudí’s iconic Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, one of the largest Catholic churches globally, which has been under construction since 1882 and remains unfinished. This Lego version captures the church’s 18 towering spires and numerous intricate details directly inspired by the renowned landmark. It even features a fully realized interior that looks absolutely fantastic.

Set to launch on November 1, the Sagrada Familia will include 12,060 pieces, making it the new record holder for the largest Lego set by piece count. The previous record was held by the World Map set from 2021, which had 11,695 pieces. Once completed, the model stands 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide.

Here’s a look at the pricing for the set across various regions. Pre-orders are available starting today.

While this set comes with a hefty price tag, it undeniably looks impressive. Personally, I might hesitate to drop that much on a church model, but if you’re searching for a project to tackle on a rainy weekend, it could be worth it. As for me, my next big Lego buy will be the Star Trek Enterprise D. It may not be a grand church, but it’s still quite a sight. I can only imagine how epic it would be to see the Sagrada Família face off against the Borg or zoom into warp speed!
