Lenovo’s Yoga Slim 7X: The Best Laptop You Can Get for $1,000

If you’re in the market for a Windows laptop and have a budget of around $1,000, Best Buy has a fantastic offer on a powerful Lenovo model. The Yoga Slim 7X is a sleek 14-inch device featuring a stunning 2K 16:10 OLED touchscreen, powered by Snapdragon’s top-tier X2 Elite processor with 12 cores, along with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a spacious 1TB SSD. These specs are among the best you can find for this price point, especially considering the current scarcity of solid laptop deals during this RAMageddon phase.

The Yoga Slim 7X stands out as a smart choice compared to spending more on Microsoft’s latest Surface Laptop, which would set you back $1,549 for a similar setup but with only half the storage. Its Arm-based processor handles most Windows applications efficiently and offers impressive battery life compared to traditional x86 laptops.

This laptop comes equipped with three USB-C ports and features a hardware switch to disable the webcam for added privacy. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, making it a versatile option for work, streaming movies, or enjoying less demanding games.

In other gaming news, the PlayStation 5 version of Starfield has recently seen a price drop to $29.99 from its original $49.99, making it a great time to grab this RPG. While it may not have made as big of a cultural splash as Bethesda’s other first-person RPGs, it’s still a must-play for fans of space exploration, firearms, and quests. It’s arguably the studio’s most refined title to date, and players can download the Free Lanes update that launched with its PS5 release in April, along with several paid expansions for those seeking more content.

Additionally, DoorDash is running a promotion for DashPass members, offering a $25 digital gift card when they spend $50 or more on a game (non-DashPass members receive a $10 gift card). A great title to consider for this deal is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, which just released and is perfect for Switch 2 owners who enjoy turn-based tactics. The game is priced at $69.99, and those who have taken advantage of this offer report that the gift card arrives within a few days of purchase.

Lastly, the Baseus VD1 Pro dash cam has recently dropped to $99.99, a $20 discount. This dash cam stands out with its dual-camera setup, featuring a 4K front camera and a 1080p rear camera for comprehensive coverage. The front camera is equipped with a rechargeable battery that can harness solar power, ensuring it continues to operate even when your vehicle is off. It records continuously while powered by your car and can detect incidents for up to 14 days with its built-in battery when parked. A long USB-C cable connects the two cameras, so you’ll need to be creative in concealing it within your vehicle’s trim.
