Life Is Strange: Reunion Surfaces Ahead of Schedule

The rumors have been confirmed: Life Is Strange: Reunion is on the way, bringing Chloe Price back into the spotlight after the hints dropped in 2024’s Double Exposure. The most exciting part? It’s set to launch in just two months.

While the official announcement is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern, an outlet jumped the gun and shared the details early. Reunion will feature both Max Caulfield and Chloe as co-protagonists, each with unique gameplay mechanics. Max retains her ability to rewind time, just like in the original Life Is Strange, while Chloe will utilize her “Backtalk” mechanic from the prequel, Before the Storm.

A major question arises: how is Chloe back after her potential demise at the end of the original game, a choice that Double Exposure made sure to carry over? The blog hints that her return might be linked to the timeline shifts Max experienced in Double Exposure, though the specifics will likely depend on the choices players made back in 2015.

Chloe’s comeback could be tied to Max’s powers, particularly the ability Max gained in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure to Shift between parallel timelines—a power she lost when she merged those timelines and regained her Rewind ability.

It appears that Reunion won’t negate any past choices, as the blog states, “Whether Chloe lived or died in Arcadia Bay, and whether she and Max were friends or lovers — these choices are key not just to the past you’ll confirm as you play, but to the future you’ll fight for the chance to build.” I’ll reserve my judgment for now, but the wait won’t be long, as Reunion is set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 26.

Expect more details to drop when developer Deck Nine makes its official announcement, and we’ll keep you updated as new information comes in.
