Limited Stock Alert: Stunning $200 Pokémon Book Flying Off the Shelves

This year has seen a wave of exciting Pokémon merchandise, including a mini Pokémon jukebox launched to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. There’s also a stunning Snorlax rug that, unfortunately, may be out of reach for most fans. Coming up next is a limited edition of the Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide, set to drop in August. If you’re interested, you’ll need to act quickly, as it’s already flying off the shelves at various retailers.

The Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide is a treasure trove of information covering every Pokémon from #1 Bulbasaur to #1025 Pecharunt. It includes details about their roles in the card game, video games, and animated series and films. With only 336 pages, many Pokémon share space, but Pikachu gets its own dedicated chapter—because, of course, it deserves nothing less.

Scheduled for release on August 25 at a price of $199.99, the limited edition will come in a deluxe collector’s box and feature several bonus items: a certificate of authenticity, a Pikachu envelope for the certificate, two video game prints, two animation prints, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game play mat.

While it’s still available at some retailers, the limited edition has already sold out in others. Walmart lists it as out of stock, and Target has reported that pre-orders are gone. For those looking to secure a copy, checking the distributor’s website can help identify which national retailers still have it available for pre-order.

The standard edition of the Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide will likely remain in stock. It will also release on the same day for $59.99 and will include just the book itself, which is still a stunning piece. It features a ribbon bookmark, Pikachu end papers, and gilded edges.
