LinkedIn to Showcase Your Actual Usage of Adobe Apps
LinkedIn is enhancing the way users showcase their skills with relevant applications for their current or future careers. A new feature called “connected apps” is being introduced, allowing users to link various supported apps to their LinkedIn profiles. Each app will provide a clear and concise description of how the user engages with it.
This feature builds on partnerships that were established in January 2026, enabling users to validate their skills with platforms like Duolingo, Descript, Lovable, Relay.app, and Replit. These partnerships will now be integrated into the new connected apps section of LinkedIn profiles, along with support for 14 additional apps, including Buffer, Fiverr, and HubSpot. More apps are expected to be added soon, with upcoming support for Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, Fullcast/Copy.AI, Github Copilot, Gong, OpusClip, Riverside, Sprinklr, Webflow, and Zapier.
For instance, HubSpot might indicate that a user “creates and sends segmented email campaigns in HubSpot’s Marketing Hub” or “uses HubSpot’s marketing automation application to engage customers,” rather than simply stating that the user utilizes HubSpot.
The generated descriptions are not editable by users and will update in real time based on how the connected apps are being utilized. Initially, these updates will occur without notifying the user. Kelly Tong, a senior product manager at LinkedIn, mentioned that notifications will eventually be implemented to inform users when their statements change. Importantly, the verification statements will not include negative information or be “downgraded” if a user engages with a connected app less frequently.
This initiative is part of LinkedIn’s broader effort to enhance verification, having already introduced tools to confirm user identities and assist recruiters in combating hiring scams. The connected apps feature aims to help users stand out to potential employers by showcasing verified experiences, making it easier for recruiters to identify candidates proficient in the tools necessary for specific roles.
“We’re building new ways for members to show real, credible proof of what they’re capable of, right on their LinkedIn profile,” said LinkedIn CEO Dan Shapero. “And for the brands behind these tools, there’s no better endorsement than a customer who’s actively using and loving your product.”
