Live Updates: February 2026 State of Play – All the Latest PS5 News and Rumors Before the Showcase

We’re gearing up to dive into what we expect from the upcoming Sony PS5 State of Play, and one title we know will be featured is Marathon. Bungie has confirmed its presence at the event, but they’ve also made it clear that there won’t be any surprise releases. The studio behind Destiny and the original Halo has faced its share of challenges with this new shooter. However, it seems like things are finally coming together. After navigating delays, dealing with plagiarism concerns regarding its art style, and the ongoing hurdles faced by the Destiny team over the past year and a half, Marathon is shaping up to be a pivotal moment for Bungie. Fortunately, recent playtests have reportedly left Sony feeling “very confident” about the game, making this State of Play a prime opportunity to showcase the dedication and effort that has gone into its development.
