Logitech G325 Headset Introduces Invisible Beamforming Microphone—A Mixed Bag of Reactions

Logitech has unveiled the G325 Lightspeed Wireless gaming headset, and it’s breaking the mold by omitting the traditional boom arm microphone. Instead of the usual setup, this headset boasts an integrated beamforming mic that captures sound from a focused area in front of the earcup while filtering out background noise. As someone with a music background, I find the absence of a visible, adjustable mic a bit surprising, but the headset’s affordability is a standout feature.

The Logitech G325 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset is set to hit the shelves on February 3, 2026, available directly from Logitech’s online stores in the US and UK. It comes in three color options and offers 24-bit audio support, a beamforming omnidirectional microphone, and customizable EQ settings through the G Hub software.

Ujesh Desai, General Manager of Logitech G, mentioned in a press release that their goal was to provide “premium experiences” for all gamers without the hefty price tag, and the G325 certainly delivers on that promise. Priced at $79.99 / £69.99, it features 32mm audio drivers, over 24 hours of battery life, and a lightweight design.

Without a traditional mic, the G325 maintains a sleek and portable design at just 212g, which is about the weight of two decks of playing cards. As someone prone to migraines, I appreciate a lightweight headset, and this one feels premium in that regard.

Like other Lightspeed headsets, the G325 connects to PCs, consoles, and mobile devices via Bluetooth 5.2 or a wireless 2.4GHz dongle, allowing for easy device switching with convenient on-board controls. It’s available in lilac, black, and white, catering to various styles and gaming setups.

The Logitech G325 Lightspeed is available starting today, February 3, 2026, and I’m eagerly awaiting my review sample. I plan to rigorously test its beamforming microphone against my favorite PC gaming headsets and its predecessor, the Logitech G522 Lightspeed, which impressed me with its broadcast-quality mic. Personally, I prefer a physical microphone like the G522’s for precise adjustments. Not all boom arms are created equal, but when they are, they allow for quick repositioning—perfect for those snack breaks during intense gaming sessions.

If the Logitech G325 Lightspeed doesn’t meet your needs, there are plenty of budget-friendly alternatives in our guides for the best PS5 headset, best Nintendo Switch headset, and best Xbox Series X headset.
